2006:

Start of Operations
Iguá Saneamento began its operations with the goal of promoting universal access to potable water and sewage collection and treatment. Our activities were based on concessions and partnerships with Municipalities, States, and public companies, establishing the foundation for the company’s sustainable growth.

2007:

Water and Sewage Concession in Palestina
We took over water and sewage treatment services in the Municipality of Palestina through Empresa de Saneamento de Palestina – ESAP S.A., under a 30-year full concession contract. This milestone was crucial for expanding our presence in the region and improving the local sanitation infrastructure.

2008:

Concessions in Mirassol and Paranaguá
We acquired the concession for water supply and sewage services in the Municipalities of Mirassol and Paranaguá. Saneamento de Mirassol – Sanessol S.A. and Paranaguá Saneamento S.A. signed 30-year full concession contracts, significantly expanding our presence in new markets.

Public-Private Partnership in Guaratinguetá
We began operating the sewage system in Guaratinguetá, São Paulo, through a PPP with Companhia de Serviço de Água, Esgoto e Resíduos de Guaratinguetá – SAEG, with a 30-year duration. This partnership reinforced our commitment to improving sanitation services.

Formation of SPAT Saneamento S.A.
We established a PPP with Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo – SABESP for the expansion of the Alto Tietê Production System, with a 15-year contract. This partnership aimed to enhance the water supply capacity for a strategic region.

2009:

Expansion in Mato Grosso
We acquired 30-year concessions for water supply and/or sewage services in the cities of Colíder, Alta Floresta, Pontes e Lacerda, and Comodoro, marking our significant expansion in the state of Mato Grosso.

2010:

New Concessions
We obtained concessions in the cities of Piquete (SP) and Canarana (MT), both with 30-year terms. In partnership with SABESP, we incorporated concessions in Andradina (SP) and Castilho (SP), also under 30-year contracts. We highlighted the universalization of water and sewage services in Castilho as an important milestone in our trajectory.

2012:

BNDESPAR Entry
BNDES Participações S.A. (“BNDESPAR”) acquired 33.42% of our share capital, strengthening our shareholder structure and ensuring strategic financial support for our operations.

New Concessions and PPPs
We took over three new full water and sewage concessions in Cuiabá (MT), Itapoá (SC), and Tubarão (SC). Additionally, we established administrative PPPs with Agreste Saneamento S.A. in Alagoas and Atibaia Saneamento S.A. in São Paulo, with 30-year contracts, expanding our presence in the sector.

2016:

Investment Agreement and Debt Restructuring
We signed an agreement for the restructuring of financial debt, resulting in an R$70 million capital injection by a new investor. The fund controlled by RKP BRL Investments I LLC was renamed IG4 Water Investments LP (“IG4 Water”), reflecting our strategy of financial strengthening.

2017:

Change in Control and Governance
Galvão Participações S.A., our former controlling shareholder, transferred its shares to Iguá Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia (“FIP IGUÁ”). The Extraordinary General Meeting approved the subscription of new shares by FIP IGUÁ, which came to hold 84.2% of the share capital. We changed our name to Iguá Saneamento S.A. and initiated a new governance model with 16 strategic initiatives.

2018:

Acquisition in Mato Grosso
We expanded our participation by acquiring the minority partner’s shares in Mato Grosso operations, taking 100% control of the operations and consolidating our position in the state.

Capital Injection of R$400 Million
We completed a transaction with a capital injection of up to R$400 million, strengthening our capital structure and improving corporate governance, enabling further expansions and investments.

Launch of Instituto Iguá and Iguá Lab
We founded the Instituto Iguá de Sustentabilidade to promote innovation and education in the sanitation sector. Iguá Lab, launched in partnership with Brazil LAB and Aceleradora Orgânica, was awarded as the most innovative idea of the year at the PPP Awards, highlighting our leadership in innovation.

2021:

Investment Agreement
We signed a new agreement with an R$596 million injection, involving CPP Investments, AIMCo, and BNDESPAR. CPP Investments acquired shares in the company and FIP Iguá quotas, maintaining company control under FIP Iguá.

Victory in CEDAE Bid
We won the concession for water and sewage services for the neighborhoods of Jacarepaguá and Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding municipalities, with a 35-year contract, benefiting approximately 1.2 million inhabitants.

Convertible Debenture Issuance
We issued convertible debentures totaling R$877 million and conducted a capital increase of R$1.52 billion, strengthening our financial and strategic capacity.

2023:

Infrastructure Debenture Issuance at Iguá Rio de Janeiro
We issued debentures totaling R$3.8 billion, with strong demand and support from BNDES, which invested R$1.8 billion. This issuance demonstrated our ability to attract investors and access quality credit, consolidating our position in the infrastructure market.

Asset Sale
Iguá reached an agreement with Centro Sul Concessões S.A., controlled by Norte Saneamento S.A., to sell its stake in up to 11 concessionaires, including Águas Alta Floresta Ltda. and Tubarão Saneamento S.A.

2024:

Fifth Debenture Issuance
We completed our fifth debenture issuance at Iguá Rio de Janeiro, in a single series, totaling R$2.7 billion. The debentures were rated “brAAA” by Standard & Poor’s Ratings do Brasil Ltda., evidencing investor confidence in our company. The funds raised will be allocated to future payment and/or reimbursement of expenses related to the implementation of the Investment Project.

Sale of Stake in FIP IGUÁ
IG4 Water Investments LP announced the sale of its stake in the Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia (“FIP IGUÁ”) to the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. This transaction was carried out within a context of continuous expansion and development of the company’s operations, reflecting the success and robustness of its growth and innovation trajectory in the sanitation market.

Victory in Sergipe Auction
Iguá won a 35-year concession to serve 2.3 million residents across 74 municipalities in Sergipe.

Victory in Paraná PPP Auction
Iguá secured a 24-year PPP for sewage services benefiting 328,800 residents in 28 municipalities in western Paraná.

Asset Sale Completion
Iguá completed the sale of 8 out of 11 concessions, including Águas Alta Floresta Ltda. and Itapoá Saneamento Ltda., to Norte Saneamento S.A.
